Fair Thee Well

With a small break in the weather the team at Osprey Marine Composites has gotten to work on Corsair's hull. If you recall, she was soda-blasted down to her gelcoat last Fall and left to dry out for a couple of months in preparation for fairing, barrier coating and bottom paint. Now that moisture readings are all negligible the next step was to seal the entire bottom with vinylester resin. This was followed by application of fairing compound. Once this concoction dries there will be much sanding and smoothing followed by three layers of epoxy barrier coat and then finally an anti-fouling bottom paint.

Launch is scheduled for 25 March!!!
