The unusually cold winter has made it challenging to complete projects on Corsair but nonetheless we are still on schedule for a late March launch. Even though Corsair is all bundled up on the hard at Herrington Harbor North I have still been able to replace/repair some key components of the standing rigging (lifelines, boom topping lift, roller furler) and have added a soft vang. I expect to have the strong track system installed on the main mast by the end of next week. If we ever get a 3 day window above 55 degrees Osprey Marine is standing by to fair the hull, barrier coat and bottom paint. In early March I plan to complete some engine maintenance and repairs (raw water pump, impeller, exhaust elbow, etc). If that goes as planned we will launch the week of 24 March and have her in the slip at Herrington South in time for a Spring Break cruise around the Bay…. Afterwards she will be my "apartment" when business takes me to the DC area (2-3 nights/week).
All bundled up and trying to stay warm…..
Thanks to the Crew from Tiki Trek who donated the winter cover. It almost fits. Some minor differences between a 1980 and 1987 CR.
